Cyrile Deranlot, 46, is a physicist and entrepreneur. In 2016, he created the company DAUMET which develops new generation golds in order to save gold and propose new uses for it.
In 1998, Cyrile Deranlot joined the CNRS as an engineer to work on an application of gold in chemistry. He then joined the CNRS/Thales Joint Laboratory with Albert Fert, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, to design the electronic components of tomorrow. He then invented new gold-based materials, in particular the whitest gold in the world, which led him to work in the luxury sector.
