Reuse of human urine in agriculture : what if our urine could replace fertilizers ?

This tour is composed of several steps (all of them take place in the farm), each one including explanations and demonstrations: local products tasting, introduction and discussion about the current sewage system, possibility to reuse urine for agriculture and presentation of the on-going research and project at Paris-Saclay.
Presentation of the tour : During this tour, we will explain the process going from eating and drinking in our every day life to sewage system and wastewater cleaning process. We will discuss its functioning and introduce a new way of coping with urines: their use as fertilizers in agriculture. To illustrate this idea, the tour will introduce the project’s strengths, the on-going research in Paris-Saclay (including experiments in the field) and discuss the possibilities for future urban planning at Paris-Saclay.
